Iranian short ‘Red Wheat Fields’ to go to the US

The Loudoun Arts filmfest in the US is to screen Iran’s ‘Red Wheat Fields’.

Iranian short flick ‘Red Wheat Fields’ has been selected to participate at the 2020 edition of the Loudoun Arts Film Festival (LAFF) in the US.

Made by Asad Bahreini, the short flick narrates the story of a man and his child who live in a war-stricken village.

One day a pilot lands in the village and the main adventure starts.

Benyamin Yazdani, Saeed Savari, and Ali Khoshbin are the cast members of the short film.

This edition of the LAFF will also present some other Iranian titles, including ‘Exam’ by Sonia Haddad, ‘The Blue Bed’ by Alireza Kazemipour, ‘Serok’ by Zhivar Farajzadeh, and ‘Intense’ by Shirin Sabour.

The mission set for the LAFF is to showcase innovative and compelling films to entertain its audiences.

To comply with COVID-19 restrictions, the 2020 edition of the fest was inaugurated virtually on August 27.

In light of social distancing protocols, Middleburg - a town in Loudoun County in the US – will host drive-in screenings of the LAFF on September 10-13 and 17-19.
